Who are you to poke my dream bubbles?
Suddenly this thought came to my mind. Bendy once told me this story. We have innovative and creative ideas in our mind and these are called dream bubbles. These dream bubbles can be our goals, our faith and our dream-line. Sometime we daydream about it, sometime we sleep and dream of it, sometime we wet dream thinking of it=X(Just joking, don't get offended)
Anyway, human loves to share, especially their dream bubbles. They love to share with their love ones, be it family, friends, lover, blah blah blah. Telling them how much they value these dreams. How much they want to share the success of these dreams with their love ones. How much they wish their love one could be part of it. How much they could use these dreams to change their life.
But certainly, there will be someone we love, having these negative thoughts in their mind trying to poke the bubbles by saying "Get a life!", "Wake up your idea!", "So unrealistic!" or "This certainly cannot be done!".
And that's when we see our dream bubbles poke by them. Ouch!
So do we stop there and let them poke if we feel our dream bubbles are "under attack"? Or do we fight back? Or do we emo one corner? Or do we ignore them? Or do we prove them wrong?
Life is a sum of choices isn't it?
You choose your path. Just like the previous post on the adjustment bureau, they place obstacle in our life when they feel things are not going according to "the plan". But some people choose to remove these obstacle and some choose to let it be and forget about the path to their dream bubbles.

The Adjustment Bureau

I recently watch this inspiring movie on Funshion. I don't know why, but it inspires me so much. It's somehow relate to the situation I'm in. It's call, The Adjustment Bureau.
David Norris is an ambitious politician who's on the brink of winning a seat in the US Senate. He lost in this first round, but met the woman of his life, a potential and beautiful ballet dancer, Elise. The people in The Adjustment Bureau(You can call them angels in our life) tried to stop this relationship between David and Elise. Because their relationship wasn't in the plan. They even warned him that, if he tries to continue this relationship with Elise, his dream of becoming a great politician, with the power to change billions of peoples life and Elise's dreams of becoming the best dancer in the US will all go down the drain.
At first, David gave up because he doesn't want to hurt Elise because of his selfishness. But when David knows that Elise wasn't happy at all, he tries to change it.....
To me, it's not just a movie about chasing your dreams and love. It's about overcoming obstacles or unseen forces(what the movie mention) in life, it's about choice whether you choose to go the way The Adjustment Bureau has helped you arranged or you choose to control your own fate. We all have dreams in life, but when The Adjustment Bureau tries to place an obstacle(This obstacle could be your family, friends, relative or anything) in front of us, do we just stop there and let them decide our fate or we break through it? You decide your own fate, there's no right or wrong.

What goes down, must come up!
Dear junwei-reflection,
I always thought I'm the world's most blissful guy. I got a loving family, a gorgeous girlfriend, a bunch of great friends and supportive relatives.
I always thought I'm the world's most blissful guy. I got a loving family, a gorgeous girlfriend, a bunch of great friends and supportive relatives.
I was an average student ever since primary school all the way till secondary school. I did my 'O' level with half the effort, the other half of it went to the most famous game at that time, Maplestory. But I still manage to pass and went to NYP SIT.
My academic made a comeback when just started my life in polytechnic. I studied hard, make sure I score for every test, always aiming for top in class and always push myself for project distinction presentation. My hard work paid off, I scored a GPA of 3.952, nominated to be in director list for 2 consecutive years and got a diploma in merit.
My relationship was a success to me too. I found her when I was in poly year 2, the one that I treasure her more than anyone, including myself. I always have this mindset that she one day will marry me and she shall be the one and only for me. My mind for her is set and never gonna be changed.
That was the best moment of my life. But things didn't stay the way they were. It's something that I never realise. Something that is always constant, change.
The Change
I'm not trying to blame anyone, nor blame "change". Because to me, that's life and I agreed to a strong extent. Just that, I wasn't prepared at all. I thought I had, but I didn't. Change of environment, change in level of freedom, change of different perspective, change in values and change of character all came in. I had a hard time managing them, I'm bad with decision making, so as a whole, bad decisions were made and poor life results came in.
She left me due to my poor decision making and communication. As a man, I take responsibility and apologise to her for all the mistake I'm done. I requested for a patch but she has no confidence for me anymore. I tried lots of ways to win her back, things got a little better but it was all too late, she found a new boyfriend, a new relationship...
My family were against my perception of a new business model and so they were against my business activity. I also lost best friends due to my unwillingness to make a change and move out of my comfort zone. All this were because of me, I take the responsibility.
I think I have reach the bottom of the stock market. Warren Buffett said, "What goes down, sure come up!". Melissa and Bendy said, if you reach the bottom and no where to go, it's time for you to rise up.
I hope it's the truth, and since it's the truth, there's no point looking back anymore. This shall be the last time I'm mentioning this story to myself. Move on bah, Junwei!

Albert Einstein - 8 wonder of the world
Albert Einstein was once asked what he thought was the greatest of mankind's discovery. His answer was: "compound interest" a.k.a "power of duplication" a.k.a "scalability". This is a very powerful theory that requires patience and discipline. If one was to follow this theory in managing his wealth, he shall receive tremendous reward after a certain time frame.
It's just like $1000 compound interest of 10% per month, after
- 1 year: 3138.43
- 2 year: 9849.73
- 3 year: 30912.68 - see the growth
- 4 year: 97017.23 - triple!
- 5 year: 304481.64 - triple again!
This is how powerful compound interest is.
Moral of the story: INVEST when you are young
Do you know why richest people in the world are businessman and investor? Because they understand this theory... They don't exchange time for money.

Sometimes you just got to let go and move on...
Dear junwei-reflection
Since like I couldn't control myself. I just happen to keep finding ways to revive blissful-moomoo blog. Even though it took me 2 hours of searching on google, titled "recover blog in blogger.com". I just feel like doing so to fill up the empty void in my soul. But came to a conculsion: "deleted blog can only be undeleted within 90 days".
My heart sank. Nothing can be done when you regret making a stupid decision in life.
Lesson learned: Never do anything due to frustration and anger. Learn to control your anger. Always remain calm in whatever situation. You just got to bear the responsibility of doing it. Remember once decision are made, it can't be undo(It goes to relationship too).
What do I want to be? Where do I want to go?
Dear junwei-reflection
Today Melissa said something which I felt it totally make sense. She said: "You are a simple guy". Indeed, I just want to live simple. But simple in the sense that it wasn't really simple to achieve at all. What do I want to be, where do I want to be has been a question which I have asked myself for many month, I just want to make it clear and I have done it.
This is the important question which guide me to find what I want to be ultimately:
"If you have 100 million in your bank, what would you do everyday?" - Meaning there's totally no money concern involved. That's where your passion is, that's ultimately what you want to do everyday.
Let me share with you. I would dream of...
Having:
- A car which has the same cc as dad's car and the size is <= sis's car. If I'm < 40 years old, this car got to be convertible
- A 5 room flat - 1 room for mum and dad, 1 room for my office (Work from home), 1 room for myself(Just a bed and a cupboard)
Being:
- Body Builder (Not those exaggerating one) - 8% body fats and all muscle defined
- Conductor of SS, musician of dao chang - able to play piano and sing at the same time
- Lecturer of a IT School - Totally no worries about retrenchment. Share with students the love and passion of technology
Doing:
- Travel around the world with mum and dad
- Visit different place to dive, experience the sea
- Pick up new hobbies
I guess that's what I want to do if I totally have no money concern. This are my dreams which had to be fulfill... Some may took a longer time frame, some may too a shorter one but ultimately, to achieve all these dreams, you cannot isolate yourself to one thing, which is financial freedom.
Rich Dad:"True freedom is financial freedom!"
An interesting facts about reflection
Confucius (孔子) , has a student name ZengZi (曾子). A Chinese philosopher born in 505BC - 436BC. He's famous for his compilation of Analects of Confucius(论语) and authored large portion of Great Learning(大学). He can be described as the top 10 teachers of ancient China.
What makes him one of the best student of Confucius is because of his filial piety act, political views on managing a country starts from self-cultivating, personal development as a gentleman and reflection skills.
But what I'm going to talk about is his famous quotes on reflection:
曾子的名言:吾日三省吾身
《论语》中有:“曾子曰:‘吾日三省吾身;为人谋而不忠乎?与朋友交而不信乎?传不习乎?’”
Basically, what ZengZi's trying to say is, he reflects 3 times a day. Using the following 3 things as a guide to reflect himself:
- When I work with someone, do I give my 100% commitment?
- Am I sincere when I'm treating my friends? Do I keep my promise to them?
- Do I practice what the teachers have taught me?
What can I learn from the facts?:
- *Reflect at least once a day, if you want to be 1/3 as good as him.
- To be a successful person and be remembered for centuries, you must be able to give away. ZengZi shares and give away his time, knowledge and teachings on education. What can I give away(奉献)?
* I just want to be 1/3 as good as him.
Why I created junwei-reflection
Dear junwei-reflection
Today is the first day you are created. Happy birthday to you! And to me, for making a decision to change starting from now!
Your main purpose here is to serve as personal assistant to me and help me in my day-to-day reflection.
I created you because:
- I want to change myself into a better person. A person with caliber of a true businessman. A person with caliber of a great leader. A person with great personal development.
- I want to record every experience I've learned throughout the day such that I'll avoid making the same mistake again.
- I want to reflect. The more I reflect and change, the successful I will be in the future.
I will record specifically:
- What incident happened
- What have I learned
- What are the changes required
- What are the steps needed to make the change
There you are, I look forward to work together with you and make a better future for both of us.
