An interesting facts about reflection

Confucius (孔子) , has a student name ZengZi (曾子). A Chinese philosopher born in 505BC - 436BC. He's famous for his compilation of Analects of Confucius(论语) and authored large portion of Great Learning(大学). He can be described as the top 10 teachers of ancient China.

What makes him one of the best student of Confucius is because of his filial piety act, political views on managing a country starts from self-cultivating, personal development as a gentleman and reflection skills.

But what I'm going to talk about is his famous quotes on reflection:

曾子的名言:吾日三省吾身
《论语》中有:“曾子曰:‘吾日三省吾身;为人谋而不忠乎?与朋友交而不信乎?传不习乎?’”
Basically, what ZengZi's trying to say is, he reflects 3 times a day. Using the following 3 things as a guide to reflect himself:
  1. When I work with someone, do I give my 100% commitment?
  2. Am I sincere when I'm treating my friends? Do I keep my promise to them?
  3. Do I practice what the teachers have taught me?
What can I learn from the facts?:
  1. *Reflect at least once a day, if you want to be 1/3 as good as him.
  2. To be a successful person and be remembered for centuries, you must be able to give away. ZengZi shares and give away his time, knowledge and teachings on education. What can I give away(奉献)?

* I just want to be 1/3 as good as him.
